A Fun Romantic Evening in Downtown Marion!

Second Friday Evenings of Poetry and Music

Start a tradition! Enhance your Romance!
Make it a First Friday Date Every Second Friday!

Why not make an evening of it Every Second Friday?

You will want to pop in to the more than 20 downtown locations to see hanging art, photography, handmade jewlery, quilts, wood carving, hand bound books, portraits, local crafts, gifts & more during the Second Artwalk Marion Downtown

You will want to start your evening with dinner at one of the great places to eat in downtown Marion!

You will be pleasantly surprised at the sporting variety and the Buckeye welcome that you receive at the CONEY CORNER
(corner of Church & Main Streets). Come on in and enjoy the free concert!

Just up the block further north on Main Street, your family can sit down to a variety of home like meals at Baries Deli.  No cold meat here, you can choose from the hunger quenching specials or ala cart with desert and a cup of coffee and lively conversation! While you are at it, check out the photography on display by the Marion Camera Club and the great acoustic blues of Jed Sparks!

If you walk a little further north to Center, cross the street and head east, you will enjoy the newly renovated look across the block (north) at the historic Marion Court House, but keep heading east a few short steps until you reach a downtown favorite.New Beginnings Restaurant.

New Beginnings serves breakfast all day with fresh baked bread, and hot salty house chips with lots of classic American fare to choose from!  You will be pleasantly surprised.  Be sure to choose a freshly baked pastry for desert!

Heading back to the west out Center Street, past The Guild on your right, a little further past Charleston Place on your left, to the historic Harding Hotel and enter the updated Infinity Restaurant, home base of OSU fans, football greats and Marion Mayhem quarterback Stanley Jackson. Sweeten the night with a tall fruity cocktail, then warm your pallet with the tongue tingling taste of an oriental spicy chicken & wild rice or savor a fine juicy steak and hot potatoes or fries and your favorite brew,  then a short hop back to the Charleston Place for an Evening of Poetry and Music!

Don't have a baby sitter!?? The Marion YMCA is offering Friday Activities of games, swimming, pizza and more for children 5-12 - Check it out here! or call Jon Kelley
Phone: 740-725-9622 and ask about the TGIF Program at the
